Football at Maine Camps

The start to this football season has been an exciting one, with more twists and turns than we could’ve imagined. The Jets took a big hit when Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn achilles – with some not-so-jokingly-joking that Tom Brady should come out of retirement to fill Rodgers’ cleats. The other leading NFL story – attracting even non-football fans to the NFL – is the ongoing coverage of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, in college ball … it’s been an awesome season to watch with Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and Ohio State currently leading the pack. All this football excitement makes us think about the great football programs at Maine Camps.

Whether campers are beginners or aspiring football pros, they have plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Maine Camps hire exceptional staff members who have expertise in their sport as well as experience teaching football. Campers learn skills from the beginning to run, pass, catch, and score touchdowns.

Beyond the fundamentals of the game, there are plenty of gameplay opportunities. Campers can play games during sports activity periods, during intracamp competitions, and in intercamp games and tournaments. Many campers like learning and practicing at camp so they can take their skills to their hometown fields and play fall football once they’re back home.

Girls are also getting in the game. Some Maine Camps are establishing leagues so girls who want to play football can play too. They enjoy the strategy, team work, physicality, and excitement of the game.

So hut, hut, hike! Don’t fumble! Enroll your child now, so s/he can huddle up for some great football at Maine Camps this summer!
