When we talk about how we give and show love, we think about things like quality time and gifts that give people joy and make them feel fulfilled. Camp delivers that in spades and that’s why Maine Camps have our heart!

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, let us count the ways campers love Maine Camps:

♥️ time off screens, tech devices, and social media

♥️ time in nature – decompressing, and enjoying clear lakes, vast fields, and the smell of pine in the air

♥️ meeting new people from all over, becoming part of a community, and making lifelong friendships – camp friends are the best!

♥️ enjoying 50+ amazing activities like waterskiing, sailing, soccer, tennis, yoga, archery, fencing, photography, and culinary arts

♥️ taking memorable trips like hiking in Acadia National Park, rafting on the Allagash River, and blueberry picking trips

♥️ gaining confidence, independence, and resilience

♥️ stepping outside what we know to learn new skills and try new things like being in the camp show, joining a team to play intercamp games, or achieving a goal like climbing to the top of the rock wall

♥️ spending time with animals – many Maine Camps offer equestrian and/or farm animal care, and many also have camp dogs

♥️ enjoying traditions like campfire S’mores and Group Sing

♥️ partaking in special events like Olympics, the Cup, College Days, Jamboree, and beyond

♥️ helping others by learning about important causes and participating in social action initiatives

Kids love Maine Camp experiences in the moment and for the rest of their lives. Camp is so much fun and it also builds character. Campers get to know themselves better and they learn to collaborate with others. It’s great preparation for college, careers, and life beyond. So many reasons to love Maine Camp summers.

We’re sending love from Maine Camps! Xoxo
