Play Ball at Maine Camps

Major League Baseball is back in full swing, which is definitely something to celebrate! There’s something special about the sound of the crack of the bat hitting the ball that conjures up sunny days of spring and summer playing and watching America’s “national pastime.” When we at Maine Camp Experience think of the start of baseball season, we think of the joy that baseball, softball, and other ball sports bring us at Maine Camps.

Baseball and softball are an integral part of programming at our Maine Camps. Hitting, pitching, and fielding skills are taught in instructional periods, and games are played during regular programming, as well as in leagues within camp and against other camps. Games are also played as Sports Night activities and more.

Beyond just the love of playing the game, playing baseball and softball at Maine Camps has additional benefits too. Campers learn incredible skills for sports and life that stay with them long after the game is over, including: teamwork – camaraderie and respect for teammates, coaches and opponents; sportsmanship – learning to win and lose graciously; and integrity – learning to play fair. All important aspects of the game and life.

Ball sports go way beyond baseball and softball at Maine Camps. We think of basketball, GAGA ball, football, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, golf and more. There’s definitely no shortage of ball sports to play at Maine Camps each day!

And, what can be better than playing ball with scenic lakes and tall pines as the backdrop?!

So … pack your pinnie, practice your pitches, and lace up those cleats – get ready to play ball this summer at Maine Camps!
