Maine Camps’ lacrosse instructors are seasoned players and coaches. Many have played or currently play or coach on college teams and leagues, and some are even former Team USA players. They teach the fundamental skills (throwing, catching, cradling) and provide instruction about positions and rules of the game. Coaching evolves to more advanced play including shooting, scoring, and checking, and offensive and defensive strategies. Maine Camp lacrosse coaches also provide lessons and guidance for good sportsmanship and teamwork.
Campers can play in small or large groups are even get one-on-one instruction. Maine Camps have regularly scheduled lacrosse instruction and some also offer specialty clinics. Campers play lacrosse in games against each other at their camp and also get the opportunity to play lacrosse games against teams from other Maine Camps. Intercamp games and tournaments are always exciting and fun.
